8/28 redfish report with Capt. Greg Dini
Fished the west side of the Mississippi River today. Great weather, sun and no wind was the key.
Water was a really high but that wasn't going to stop us because the water clean so we could see fish. I fished some of my usual ponds today and right off the bat we saw fish tailing and finning on the surface.
One of my anglers, Wes was the first one to put a nice 25" fish in the boat on a Waldner's spoon fly.
Trent, my other angler who was a great caster got up there and out did Wes's fish by putting a nice 26" fish in the boat.
The fish were scattered earliear in the week making the fishing tough but they are starting to school back up in small groups of 4-6 fish.
We did see a nice school today that had 15-20 fish in it and we pulled two fish out of it.
We ended the day with 5 fish in the boat and broke a couple more off.
Great day on the water with two down to earth guys.
Come book a trip, the fishing is only going to get better the closer we get to Fall.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Greg Dini
